"Double-Bright" Grassroots trade union organizations actively carry out their work

On the morning of May 28, Beilun District held a mobilization meeting for the construction of regional community trade unions and the "Double Flag" activities. Shi Enting, executive vice chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and Hui Kaibo, deputy secretary of the district party committee, attended and delivered speeches. Liu Kaibo fully affirmed the achievements made in the construction of grassroots trade unions in our district. By overcoming difficulties and establishing the organization, last year, 926 new trade unions were established in the district and 74,692 new trade union members were added, and the coverage of grassroots trade union organizations continued to expand. Secondly, in exploring innovations such as work systems and membership management systems, the role of grassroots trade unions will be further played. At the same time, grassroots trade unions have strengthened the training of newly-employed trade union chairmen and enterprise trade union cadres, and established a team of high-quality trade union cadres with strong abilities, solid mass concepts and pragmatic work style. Liu Kaibo emphasized that regional community trade unions and the "Double-Bright" activities are effective ways for our district to strengthen the work of grassroots trade unions. Trade unions at all levels should further strengthen their own construction. At the same time, party organizations at all levels and all parties in the society should strongly support the development of the "two activities" of trade unions, gather strength, and strive to promote trade union work to a new level under the new situation.

In his speech, Shi Enting pointed out that the "Trade Union Organization Shows the Signs and Trade Union Chairman Shows the Identity" activity (referred to as the "Double Shows" activity) is an important measure for the All-China Federation of Trade Unions to strengthen the standardization of trade unions in enterprises this year. As the first batch of pilot units in the city, Beilun started early, had great efforts, and was practical. The party and government attached great importance to support it, had outstanding work, and had a good atmosphere in the event, which deserves full recognition. In this regard, he put forward five opinions on further carrying out the "Double Light" activity: First, we must further improve our understanding of the importance of the "Double Light" activity, and second, we must clarify the requirements of the "Double Light" activity, and strive to achieve the "Double Light" work goal by the end of the year. Third, we must further play the leading role of demonstration enterprises, take hundreds of outstanding enterprises as demonstrations, and provide learning and reference experience for subsequent units; fourth, we must further improve the overall work level of enterprise trade unions, so that the enterprise trade union signs will light up, work will turn, activities will become active, and organization will be strengthened; fifth, we must further strengthen organizational leadership, overall planning and balance, and strengthen publicity.
