National Standards Seminar on "Overall Requirements for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in Cultural and Sports Products and Parts"

According to the national standard "Sports and Sports Products and Parts" The actual completion status of the standard manuscript of the General Requirements for Volatile Organic Compounds ( VOCs ) was held as scheduled on August 21, 2015 at Xiashang Yixiang Hotel in Xiamen .

The drafting units (regardless of order) that participated in this national standard discussion meeting were mainly: Huace Testing Technology Co., Ltd., National Cultural and Educational Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, National Sports Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, Zhejiang Guangbo Group Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Qixin Group Co., Ltd., Ningbo Beilun Haibo Precision Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Xiamen Kanglejia Sports Equipment Co., Ltd., Shanghai Hongshuangxi Co., Ltd., Shandong Huixiang Fitness Equipment Co., Ltd., Weishi (Xiamen) Sports Products Co., Ltd. - 14 representatives from a total of 10 standard drafting units attended the meeting.

The standard drafters of Weihai Guangwei Group Co., Ltd. were unable to attend the meeting due to the conflict between other work matters and the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Yuan Tianxiang, director of the Comprehensive Business Department of the China Cultural and Educational Sports Products Association. After the meeting was announced and the relevant units and representatives participating in the meeting were introduced, the following meeting was immediately carried out and completed.

1. A detailed discussion was conducted on the standard text of the "Overall Requirements"

The meeting first conducted and completed a specific discussion on the standard text under the leadership of the standard text, Engineer Xu Weijia, Huace Testing Technology Co., Ltd.

Moreover, after more than 5 hours of detailed discussion of the standard text chapter by chapter, we finally reached a consensus revision opinion on the specific content of the standard text.

2. Opinions on the arrangements for follow-up work of the "Overall Requirements" standard

After discussing the standard text of the "Overall Requirements" of the VOC for the control of cultural and sports supplies at this meeting , Mr. Yuan Tianxiang from the Comprehensive Business Department of the China Cultural and Educational Sports Products Association immediately arranged and explained the follow-up work of the standard project of the "Overall Requirements". These include:

1. After this discussion meeting, the "standard text revision draft" should be communicated in a timely manner within the drafting group to effectively ensure the scientific and rationality of the standard document.

2. Arrange the "test verification" work on VOC limited requirements. Moreover, after soliciting everyone's opinions, the following arrangements were put forward for the experimental verification of the project :

( 1 ) The test verification using the "climate cabin method" will be responsible by Huace Testing Technology Co., Ltd.; and the test verification using the "head space method" will be responsible by the National Sports Goods Quality Supervision and Inspection Center.

( 2 ) The samples required for test verification are mainly provided by the following drafting units:

a ) Xiamen Kanglejia and Shandong Huixiang - responsible for providing rubber and plastic parts for fitness equipment;

b ) Weishi (Xiamen) Company - responsible for providing badminton tennis racket handle parts;

c ) Shanghai Hongshuangxi Company - responsible for providing table tennis "rack leather" parts;

d ) Ningbo Beilun Haibo Company - responsible for providing fishing gear reel parts;

e ) Shenzhen Qixin Group Company - responsible for providing folders (bags) parts for stationery supplies;

f ) Zhejiang Guangbo Group Company - responsible for providing photo album parts for stationery supplies;

( 3 ) The test samples provided by the above units must be related parts that are "latest manufactured" or "latest procurement" to ensure that parts that are not "standard for too long" but have VOC gas release.

( 4 ) The specific time of the test samples provided by the above units shall be provided immediately and shall not be delayed after the above-mentioned sample providers shall be actively contacted by "Huace Testing Technology Co., Ltd." and "National Sports Goods Quality Supervision and Inspection Center" after the above-mentioned sample providers shall be provided immediately and shall not be delayed !

( 5 ) The test and verification work of this national standard project must be completed before the end of September . At the same time, a formal "Experiment Verification Report" should be output.

3. After completing the project 's test and verification work and making timely modifications to the " VOC Limited Requirements", the project's "letter-based consultation" work procedure from the national industry must be completed before October 15 . At the same time, the qualified "Summary Form for Soliciting Opinions" should be exported in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "National Standard Management Measures".

4. For the main drafting units of this standard, while completing the above work, they should also complete the necessary documents such as the "Preparation Instructions" of the standard projects in a timely manner in accordance with the provisions of the "National Standard Management Measures".

5. The review of this national standard project is initially planned to be completed before the end of October 2015 . The application and approval work for its project is planned to be completed by mid- November .
