Ningbo leads innovation tour in the United States

From 2015.05.31 to 06.13 , the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau organized a total of 14 candidates to the "Ningbo City Leader and Top Talent Training Project" with Deputy Director Zhou Yongquan as the delegation leader and Ma Jun as the secretary- general to go to the United States for core innovation capabilities training. I was fortunate to participate in this itinerary as a representative of Beilun District.

The two-week training was held in the previous week, and the first week was mainly at Stanford University in the western United States and visited well-known Silicon Valley companies such as Intel , HP and Tesla ; the next week, the next week was to conduct official visits in New York, eastern United States.

The lectures of Stanford University teachers are more impressive: "Exploring the Successful Experience of Silicon Valley and Improving Ningbo's Innovation Capabilities" by Teacher Tan Feng, which gives us a more comprehensive understanding of Silicon Valley: Silicon Valley is not so much a geographical term as an economic concept, or rather, Silicon Valley is a regional economy; Silicon Valley is the location of a high-tech industry cluster and major enterprises, and is also the main settlement of high-tech workers (employees). The secret to Silicon Valley's success lies in its three major mechanisms (innovation, entrepreneurship, and wealth creation) and the top ten elements (institutional environment, talent, industry-university-research interaction, creativity, entrepreneurial culture, finance, intermediary services, industrial chain, living conditions, and location advantages).

Let the touch-sensitive lines weave fabrics into them, and clothes become wearable digital products ; "finger controls digital devices across the air" technology, etc. Crazy enough to make people feel that those people are either geniuses or crazy people! Another thing is the Silicon Valley system, mainly the entrepreneurship system. In Silicon Valley, there are policies and systems that are conducive to corporate entrepreneurship, innovation and development; professional intermediary service systems (lawyers, accountants, headhunters, consulting, etc.) and professional technology market service systems (industrial chain and supporting capabilities).

The success of Silicon Valley has triggered countries and regions around the world, even the United States itself, to replicate. Although it has not been successful, it does not affect our absorption of nutrients from it to enhance the innovation-driven and sustainable development of enterprises.

Innovation requires us to start new thinking and develop an enterprise's development idea.

Flyknit technology is an upgrade of the upper technology technology launched by Nike . It combines computer manufacturing technology to transplant the weaving form similar to socks to the upper, abandoning the traditional shoemaking production process (previously, they purchased leather materials first, then dyed, cut, etc.), greatly reducing the demand for employment of traditional manufacturing companies; and since the shoe body is almost made of line fibers, the waste and unecotility caused by cutting upper materials in the past have been greatly improved. Nike has brought the company out of its way because of innovation, while Li Ning from China is not so lucky.

Innovation needs to lead thinking and combine leading technology with traditional technology.

The core technologies of electric vehicle Tesla are:

A. Tesla's chassis and body, designed by a former Mazda designer. From the structure, the front double forks and rear multi-links are the same as the Mazda 6 .

B. The motor used by Tesla is an AC induction motor with a high power-to-weight ratio of about 5 o'clock. Tesla's motor is from a motor factory in Taiwan. The advantage of DC permanent magnet motors is that they can accurately control the speed and torque, while AC induction motors are not bad. However, the use environment is not high and the power to weight ratio is high.

C. The battery used by Tesla is Panasonic's 18650 battery, with the advantage of high energy density.

D. Tesla's own things are mainly electronic control, battery management, motor management, chassis training, and the integration of on-board electronics and mechanical equipment.

The first three core technologies are the current traditional technologies, and the truly leading technology of Tesla is D. Tesla 's founder Allen Musk has really broken through the boundaries of large companies such as General GE , and has achieved the leading technology of electric vehicles by relying on continuous leading thinking .

Innovation requires us to continue to learn, and we must also carry out lifelong learning! Innovation cannot be successful out of thin air, the basis is the continuous accumulation of the knowledge we learn!

The two-week study and training was short and pleasant. Although I could not accept more knowledge in a limited time, the powerful shock wave brought to people by the innovative atmosphere in Silicon Valley still made me feel infinitely about the gains from this training journey!
